Corrective exercise is a form of training that focuses on restoring proper biomechanics through identifying and addressing movement dysfunction, muscular imbalance and suboptimal compensation. This can help improve mobility, reduce pain, prevent injuries and aid in recovery.
After the initial consultation a video and picture assessment is done, from which a 5-week program is developed tailored to your body's individual and specific needs. Focus is on inhibiting overactive muscles and activating under-active muscles through different modalities such as self-myofascial release, different forms of stretching, specific and targeted neuromuscular activation and multi-joint movements integrating the whole kinetic chain.​

To create a lasting change and get results, repetition is key. Therefore sessions are kept short but daily, with weekly updates to ensure appropriate progression.
Before the start of each new training week you meet with Astrid over FaceTime or Zoom for 30 minutes to discuss the previous week's training, address any potential issues, as well as go over the next week's training. You are welcome to message Astrid directly via the app at any time, and she will respond within 24 hours.
